Blessings for Long Life Cabinet Face Plate

This brass faceplate is painted around the rim with images of leisure from ancient China: a scholar luxuriating under a bamboo tree, a rich man displaying a peach, and other vignettes of prosperity and happiness. It is intended as the face plate for a medium large cabinet, but in China these pieces of hardware are often framed and used as decorations by themselves.
